Teresa Hartmann is the Director of Voluntary Carbon Market Formation at IETA, focusing on integrity and transparency in carbon markets. Previously, Teresa worked at the World Economic Forum as the Lead for Climate and Nature, developing initiatives on net zero, industry decarbonization and natural climate solutions.
Up until 2018, Teresa led the World Economic Forum’s environment and sustainability programme across the Davos agenda, the Sustainable Development Impact Summit and regional gatherings.
Prior to joining the Forum, Teresa worked on sustainable finance and the SDGs at UNEP, the UN Secretariat and GIZ.
Teresa holds a B.Sc. in Environmental and Resource Management and a Master’s degree in International Studies with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa.
