Sam Israelit
Sam Israelit is a partner in Bain & Company's San Francisco Office. He works with clients in the retail, consumer products, and technology industries to help them transform their operations and achieve their performance goals. His functional area focus is on managing the end-to-end supply chain, from collaborating with Tier 1 and 2 suppliers to improving planning, manufacturing, distribution and logistics processes, to optimizing manufacturing and distribution footprints and developing strategies to near-shore operations. He also has interests in how supply chains are being impacted by digital technologies and sustainability challenges.
He also leads the Environment Pillar in Bain & Company’s global Social Impact Practice, where he works with leading environmental organizations around the world on problems related to climate change, responsible production and consumption, and land and ocean conservation. His work focuses on Natural Climate Solutions, especially related to reforestation, sustainable agriculture, and blue carbon.
Sam is also Bain &Company’s Chief Sustainability Officer, where he leads their Carbon Net-Negative program and drives efforts to measure and reduce their carbon footprint, source its carbon offset investments, and manage its public ESG reporting.
He joined the firm in 2000 to help Bain & Company expand their capabilities in information technology and was co-founder of its IT practice. He also led their Supply Chain Practice in the America’s and is active in Bain & Company’s Retail, Consumer Products and Technology Practices.
